The Book
First things first: A little unofficial announcement of my book. 🤫 Yes, you can finally pre-order that book I’ve been talking about for the last year. If you’ve ever wanted to ask me questions about my life, why I chose sex work, or anything else, I think you’ll enjoy reading it.
It still feels strange, but seeing my book on a site makes it feel so real! I’m still editing it, refining it, but it will be happening! Preorders are very much appreciated. I love writing but I hate editing. I always have! The first few rounds of edits are fine… but eventually you’ve read every sentence at least ten times and you’re utterly revolted by it. It takes such fortitude! It’s the same with painting. I love getting the initial impression down, but refining was initially so painful. It took years of practice and patience before I could just enjoy the process.

New York is coming alive again. I was walking through Washington Square Park and it was completely overrun. People were singing karaoke and blasting music, dancing, shouting, skating, eating decadent picnics with massive cakes. Everyone is dressing in the most bizarre ways and I love it.
I am still figuring out how to dress. Now that I’m doing less in person sex work, I have no idea how to dress. I have all these beautiful clothes I usually just wore for work! On my off time, I only wanted to dress like a fuckboy, with sweatpants and baggy shirts. Now I find myself drawn to my work clothes in my personal life. I’ve been surprising some of my friends by showing up dressed to the nines for a chill brunch. They’re simply not used to it!
It has been so fun dressing up but for myself. I’m not dressing for my clients. Just for me and my friends. And I’ve been getting back into wearing perfume as well. My friend Annabel Gat did a collaboration with Marissa Zappas called Annabel’s Birthday Cake. I’m addicted to it! It smells so fucking good, it fits that mood of almost-post-pandemic indulgence. Park picnic with a cake smeared all over my face, my beautiful dress. Whenever I’m in a bad mood, I put some on and I can’t help but smile.

Everyone is losing their minds about the Lil Nas X video. It’s so good. Of course I’m a bad girl and very queer so I love it. I’ve always wanted to film a sexy demonic lap dance and I’m happy Lil Nas X beat me to it!!
I started watching Jujutsu Kaisen after Freja Noir told me about it. I’m only a few episodes in, but I love it. If you like anime, it’s a good one. It reminds me a bit of Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist.
I also recently watched the first Cardcaptor Sakura movie. I was just looking for something to put on in the background while I was writing, so I didn’t really follow the plot. But the visuals are so gorgeous. If you like Sailor Moon, you’ll probably enjoy it. I’m going to watch the full series soon!
